For this week’s classmate conversation, I got the pleasure to meet Juli Yoshinaga. Juli Yoshinaga is a 3rd year student majoring in Communication Studies and minoring in marketing.
When I asked Juli the question of what she thought of fan art, she said she likes it. She said fan art is good regardless if its physically or emotionally, the time and effort the fan put to do an art piece together for someone should be aspiring. She added that she feels fan art is valuable, creativity, and it is a very nice gesture for someone to do art of them. When i asked her about her thought of Demi Lovato’s reaction to the fan after she saw what the fan had done, Juli said she disagrees with Lovato’s actions. She said Demi should have really appreciated that someone even took the time to think of her and do an art piece. Regardless of whether the drawing was good or not, Juli feels the art was unintentional and that by no means should have Demi Lovato reacted the way she did.
(P.S. I do apologize for not having an image, I took the picture on snapchat since it uses less memory and I forgot to save the photo).
